Finalists for the CAN Writing Contest
The scores are in and we have some great winners. The judges all said that the entries were all good and sometimes hard to select. Many scored very close. Thank you for participating.
All students will receive comments back from the judges about their essays. Please allow time, since it’s a long process of connecting entries with the judges’ comments. There were a few students that did not follow guidelines. So if you do not receive a comment that might be the reason. Prizes will be sent to students either directly or to their schools. Whenever possible, a CAN member will deliver the prizes personally. If teachers would like for CAN members to speak to their school or class please contact contest@christianauthorsnetwork.com.
A free e-book (in PDF) of all the winning entries will be available to download from this website in June. Please look for it!
The turnout was overwhelming and delightful. Over 200 entries came in from all over the United States, Canada, Africa, and Russia. A special thanks to all the schools and home school groups who sent in multiple submissions. Parkview Baptist School of Baton Rouge, LA, had the largest turnout.
We hope you enjoyed participating in our contest. Watch for announcements and our website next fall for our 2008 CAN Writing Contest.
